How To Get Started

Get Approved With A Lender

First things first, you have to get approved with a lender so we know what you can afford!  Whether you go to a big bank or a smaller lending institution, you will need a pre-approval letter to get the home buying process started!  If you do not have a lender you plan to work with, let me know and I can get you in contact with one.

Start Your Search

When you receive the pre-approval letter, we can start searching for homes!  We don't want to search for homes that are outside your budget, right

Make An Offer

Let's make an offer!  When you find a home you can see yourself in, we finally get to make an offer!  Counteroffers are common -- it's part of the negotiation process.

Inspection/Investigation

Once we get an accepted offer, we get to go through the inspection and appraisal period.  These are the most important 17 days of the transaction.  This is when you get a pest inspection and can hire a home inspector to go through the home to make sure it is in proper condition for you.  Necessary repairs can also occur during this period.  An appraiser will go through the property to make sure the home holds its value and will communicate that with your lender.

Close The Deal!

After we get through those 17 days, that's when we are in the final stretch and ready to close escrow!  All documents will be finalized and notarized so you can take title of the property.

Key Day

Once your loan is funded, it is time for the keys!

Happily Ever After

The best part of owning a home is that it is yours and you get to invest in your future and your own property.  Sometimes a home is just an investment or a stepping stone to the next one.  I would love to be part of that journey with you!
